AISA Conference Wrap Up.
Privasec Team had a great time at the 2018 AISA Conference in Melbourne. We were proud to have been asked to run a training track at conference. This event was by far the largest on the cyber security calendar and Privasec team helped distribute nearly 2,000 of our awesome T-shirts at the event.
We witnessed a full house when Privasec’s Information Security Consultant Ignatius Swart (PhD, CISSP, PCI QSA) ran a live workshop on how to craft phishing attacks and develop counter measures. Privasec’s Managing Director, Romain Rallu, also ran the ISO 27001 masterclass at the conference.
A big thanks to all the sponsors and organisers for making AISA Conference 2018 a huge success. We are looking forward to the AISA National Conference in Melbourne next year.
Privasec sponsors Cyber Risk Meetups in Singapore, Melbourne and Brisbane
Privasec is really proud to have sponsored the Cyber Risk Meetup series in Singapore, Melbourne, and Brisbane. These events provided a great platform for renowned industry professionals who turned up in great numbers to network and widen their horizons by interacting with a panel of highly reputed cyber professionals.
There were a lot of key takeaways from these meetups including cyber risk management, strategy, data breaches and the evolution of artificial intelligence.
We are already looking forward to the next Cyber Risk Meetup - 'No Longer a Secret' in Sydney on the 18th of October. The event is based on data breaches demystified, the impact of living in such a world and Cyber Resilience & Incident Response. There has been an overwhelming response for this event so far. There are still a few spots available so grab your ticket here:

Our Head of Technical Assurance Speaks at the IAFIE Conference
Our Head of Technical Assurance, Karan Khosla, was invited to speak at the 14th Annual Conference of the International Association for Intelligence Education (IAFIE) just earlier this week. The 14th Annual IAFIE conference revolved around the theme of 'Innovating Intelligence Education' and we saw a community of Intelligence Professionals/ Practitioners gathered in a room to exchange knowledge. Great insights were shared on actual case studies from the perspective of a Rogue Intruder and how we need to be looking at different angles to uplift every organisation's security posture. If you are thinking of getting a Red Team involved and have a look at your organisation, feel free to reach out directly to Karan or our friendly Cyber Security Advisor Shamane Tan!
