Romain Rallu, Privasec’s Director was invited to speak on ISO 27001 at Ingram Micro’s Cyber Security Exec Lunch last week hosted by Shirley Tan. Privasec's APAC Cyber Security Advisor gives keynote at Mimecast Breakfast Connect
Our APAC Cyber Security Advisor, Shamane Tan, was invited to give two keynotes at the Mimecast Breakfast Connect last month. Both Melbourne and Sydney saw a great turnout at each event where cybersecurity professionals came to learn about innovative and relevant cyber resilient practices.
Shamane shared Privasec Red Team’s success stories which showcased the importance of training up humans as our first line of defence. A special thanks to Mimecast team for organising such an informative event!

Privasec was proud to sponsor the OWASP AppSec event, Australia’s only conference dedicated to application security.
Our team had an incredible time at the event and were impressed with the calibre of speakers both local and international. We were honoured to be chosen to design the official t-shirt for the event. Privasec partners with Cyber Risk Meetup in Sydney
Privasec proudly partnered with Cyber Risk Meetup to bring together industry professionals for the ‘No Longer a Secret’ event in Sydney on 18th October.
The well-attended event provided an opportunity for networking and sharing ideas with industry peers. The line-up of knowledgeable speakers leveraged their experiences to provide practical insights into staying in sync with the dynamic risk environment.
Olga Ganopolskygla, General Counsel Privacy and Data at Macquarie Group Limited, spoke about the complexity of responding to data breaches when privacy legislation differs greatly across countries and jurisdictions. Managing Consultant at Privasec, Ignatius Swart, spoke about the impact of living in a world of data breaches and suggested frameworks for organisations to effectively adapt and respond. CIO at Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC), Andre Jenkins addressed the importance of creating an environment where organisations are transparent and the public is informed about emerging privacy issues.
